PT Transjakarta Releases Metrotrans Design at UI

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has released two designs for metrotrans bus that will operate in University of Indonesia (UI) and has low footing characteristics and is very disability friendly.

For the first option, the bus will be yellow all over the body with Transjakarta graphic symbols and the University of Indonesia logo on the right and left side.

"This design describes the cooperation of both parties, without removing the distinctive characteristics of them," disclosed PT Transjakarta Corporate Secretary and Public Relation Division Head, Nadia Diposanjoyo, Monday (7/29).

As for the second option, the bus will be yellow with leaf accents that illustrate the concern for the environment and the typical graphics of the Transjakarta logo that describe the service effort and the better range.

"The bus has 41 seats and can accommodate 27 standing passengers, as well as a space for wheelchair users," she expressed. 

Those options are still being discussed. The bus has been completed with an on board unit (OBU) to inform the location and circumstances around the bus to the Transjakarta command center.

Thus far the bus is under trial stage for seven days in order to study the rhythm of travel as an evaluation material to ensure that all routes can be served properly.

"We'll serve the University of Indonesia academic community starting in early August," she said.
